What is it?
The Old Smithy is a camping barn or ‘stone-tent’. It offers basic accommodation to groups of walkers, cyclists and others visiting this part of Cheshire.
Where is it?
The Old Smithy is situated in the village of Burwardsley, which is mid-way along the Sandstone Trail. The Barn is on Burwardsley Road, on the outskirts of the village, close to the Post Office.

What facilities are there?
The Old Smithy provides space for up to eight people, with an area for cooking, washing up, a toilet and sleeping platform. There is no electricity or hot water.
What do I need to bring?
You need to bring your own sleeping bag and roll mat, a cooker, food and matches. Lighting is via lanterns (provided) but you will need a torch.
How much does it cost?
Cost is £4.00 per person per night.

You can buy or pre-order milk, bread, etc at Burwardsley Village Store & Post Office
