There is now a Diversion at Lloyds Head, Ironbridge. Part of the route is now closed for stabilization works to commence, but there is a signed diversion in place taking cyclists walkers along Chapel Road.

Ironbridge possible route closure. You are probably not aware that Lloyds Head, (the left turn over the suspension bridge, towards the HUB) is due to be closed very soon for stabilization works, which will continue to October. According to Pete Bird this will affect the cycle route as well as the road. Telford and Wrekin council have produced a leaflet showing the road diversion, but typically have omitted to include any diversion details for the cycle route. Pete reckons that cyclists will be able to use Chapel Lane, unfortunately not marked on the cycle route map. It seems that as soon as the road closure is in place, Pete and I will have to mark out the diversion with 45 stickers. When we have more details they will be posted here
Fire at Waggoner's Prees to Whitchurch Leg

Users of 45 and 31 through Whixall will be very sorry to learn that the Waggoner's Pub will be closed until further notice following a severe fire, that destroyed the roof. Fortunately there were no injuries. Please note that the car park will also be closed. As soon as I hear of any plans to re-open I will post on this page.
